Here’s to the gods of Technology

It’s not a good time to have a bad relationship with pollen. I’ve done everything in my power to make it good, but the pollen couldn’t care less. Mow the grass, blow the dirt around, and boom there it is and naturally, I’m taking my temperature every 20 minutes and eating ginger snaps and smelling the roses to make sure I can still taste and smell. So far, so good. And ginger snaps and roses are favorites. So, I guess it’s a win of sorts.

I had some of those fancy learning thermostats put in yesterday. Feels oddly cooler although I’m unsure how the thermostat could make that much of a difference. I guess its sense of style is helping out. Anyway, I can check the temperature in my house from my phone which is an odd thing to do since I live in the house and could just as easily walk around. But, hey, technology, embrace it or die, although that’s probably a bit extreme.

Next up I think I’ll add in the smoke and CO detectors, that way if my house starts to burn when I’m away from home I can know not to rush back. I guess, however, I should be wary of making my home too smart, because according to the fiction, AI is going to become super smart and want to get rid of me because I’m the problem plaguing the planet, not me personally, but us, humans. I wonder if they’ll have a plan for how to pay the bills and keep the lights on? It would be just my luck, however, they’d keep me around to mow the damn grass.
