Things

It was car wash day yesterday. I got mine deep cleaned. Inside. It looks nice. All sparkly. I wonder how long it will last. I’ll do my best to keep it up, but we all know how that goes. Good intentions and all. But I’ll try. Mostly I just run it through a car wash which only treats the exterior. Its tedious business getting out the vacuum so that usually falls by the wayside. I wonder if it’s too late to change my ways.

It’s the opposite with my house. I get mine deep cleaned inside every two weeks and let the exterior take care of itself. Not the best of plans. I have started power washing the porches and the walls of the dog run, but there are other areas that need paint, and that’s tedious business. Still, I have to do it, and I probably ought to get cracking.

Maybe this is the downside of stuff. You have to take care of it. Jeans get holes in their knees. Shirts lose buttons. Shoes get holes in the soles. Washing machines stop washing. TVs blink out. Computer’s refuse to wake up. Although, this is probably just life. Because if you didn’t have stuff you’d still need to take care of yourself and you’d need something to wear, which is stuff. So, I guess you can’t really do without it. Stuff. Yourself. Things to take care of.
