The Plant
I usually refer to my Barbados Cherry in the singular. But it is time to admit there is now more than one. In fact, I find it hard to really put a number on the number of plants that now comprise what I should rightly call my Barbados Cherry grove.
A Tree and Two Birds
I like Aspens, Magpies, and Steller’s Jays. The tree and two birds are things I’d never seen before I went to Colorado. Now that I’ve seen them, I want to see them again.
Returning Home
I have come down from the mountains. The return started early yesterday around 7 a.m. Mountain Time. Ended about 10:30 p.m. Central. It was a drive of two parts. Pagosa Springs to Ozona in the company of a friend. Ozona to Johnson City in the company of myself.
East West
I stood on the Great Divide yesterday. One foot in the east, one foot in the west, straddling our big country. I was at Wolf Creek Pass, elevation 10,858.
