The Departing
Had a bit of sad news . The lady who cleans my house and the houses of several friends is riddled with liver cancer. Today, around 11 a.m. they’ll start taking her off life support.
Good Advice
Cleaning Up
Well, durn, I hike over half of creation this past week without a twinge from my feet or any other part of my body. I wake up yesterday with a left ankle so sore I can barely touch it after a really good night’s sleep.
The Work
It’s Monday. I’m late in the writing, for no good reason, actually. I have started taking Sunday’s off, which is why I had no words to offer yesterday.
Little Bits
The minutia of everyday life ate my day yesterday.
Learning to Walk
We got more rain yesterday morning, but it slacked off early and stayed partly cloudy. We got right at sixth tenths of an inch over the last two days. Not a record setting rain, but useful.
Starting Over
I’m pretty sure no one really understands how good I feel right now. My house is a holy mess, my wife died a year ago, but here I stand in all the debris feeling just as I did eleven years ago when we first moved in.
Uninvited Guests
It’s an odd ritual, but before the lady comes to help clean my house, I clean my house.
