Working Out
I’m in a tiny, personal groove. I cleaned my gutters yesterday, and put plants in the ground. It rained last night, right on cue. My rain barrels are full, and the new plants got a good soaking. More rain is promised, and as a bonus, it’s cool outside. For the plant fans, the new additions are Gregg’s Mist Flower, Catmint Walkers Low, and Upright Rosemary. All have proven to do well in my soil so I decided to add a few more.
All of this fits right in with me finding my shovel, my paradigm shift on the old kitchen table, plans for getting rid of my brush pile, and the replat news. If I were a ship at sea, I’d say I had a fair wind and full sails, if that is even something sailors say. Of course, I still have an old couch sitting in my front room that needs disposal, but the way things are going, I’m pretty sure that will happen, because a friend is coming next week to help me dismantle my old entertainment center and put my TV on the wall.
All I need now is a good book, and I haven’t had one in a while. I have a candidate on order and I’ll see how it goes when it gets here. Of course, I can always go back and read some of my favorites, but that’s trodding old ground, although the book I’ve ordered was first published in 1980. Luckily, it’s been revised since then because it’s a history book, so I think it will do as something new. And while I wait for it I’m going to enjoy my current groove and treasure the anticipation.
