It’s Raining
Went outside to tell the cats I forgot to buy cat food yesterday, which is not something you really need to tell them, and discovered it was raining. Light at first then it got heavy and one of my assistants said lightning had been detected in my area and just now I hear thunder, so it’s officially a storm. The rain is really coming down, like there is no space between the drops, so no matter how agile you think you are, you’ll get wet if you go outside. I plan on staying in.
Had a bit of an adventure yesterday. My watch ran out of juice on Wednesday, so I took it off in the car. Went to find it yesterday afternoon and it was gone. Gone in that it wasn’t where I thought it was. So, I looked in all the usual places then decided to look under the seat. There it was. Along with a $20 bill. That was a nice win on two counts. Watch. Money. It’s hard to imagine, though, how I dropped a $20 and failed to notice. I hope this isn’t a sign of cognitive decline.
Got the fallen tree limb chopped up thanks to a fine powered pole saw my arborist son got me for my birthday one year. Talk about a handy tool. A little chainsaw on a pole. Boom. Wood is cut up. And the saw is way away from me. Nice. I also got some more screws for the fence because some runners have pulled away from the poles and they need long screws. And all that sort of sums up my day yesterday and today I’m off to Houston to visit friends, watch baseball, watch football, and remember the good old days. It should be fun.
