I’ve been up and doing things this morning now I’m writing. Sort of a backwards start to the day, but why should every day start the same way. Sometimes you just have to break the mold and head off in a different direction. I’m getting ready for a trip this week. I’m heading off to Marathon to see Big Bend and listen to music. This was my first big trip last year after the death of my wife the previous year, and the trip was a tonic.

Last year was magic, I imagine it will be different this year. We’ve all gone to great parties which raised our party expectations, only to have them dashed when next we attended a party. Marathon this year may well be the same. Or it could surprise me and surpass last year. Here’s hoping. I’m always open for surprises and good things. And sometimes you make your own good thing. So, I’m going with the idea that you get out of things what you put into them.

Meanwhile, I’m still doing chores and cleaning up. Got my shelving up yesterday. So, that’s done. The garage is beginning to look passable again, and I’m going to haul some stuff to the waste transfer station this morning. It will cost a bit to dump, but it’s worth the money to get it off the grounds. They’d come pick it up for free, but I’d have to wait six months and that’s not in the cards. My psyche needs it gone and gone it shall be. And that’s it for this morning. See everyone tomorrow.
