Slow Day

Got out and about yesterday. Drank some wine. Ate some cake. Sang happy birthday. Played a new tune I wrote. Made some new friends, well acquaintances. We exchanged names and made small talk. The day was cool and the breezes kind. Lot’s of people brought their dogs. I have no idea why people haul their dogs around, but they do. I wonder what the dogs think of all the hubbub.

Nothing much on the agenda today. I’ll probably work in the yard. That’s the nice thing about yard work and gardening, there’s always something to do. And it doesn’t really have to be much to be satisfying. For instance, I noted some bindweed growing in the bulbs, and I’d like to take it out. And there are always trash trees to remove and with all the rain, they come up easy when I pull them. I could also edge, although that’s noisy work and I don’t feel noisy today.

I bought a new video editing software. I’d been trying to make do with free stuff but that was pretty limiting. So, I went ahead and dropped a few dollars. So far, so good. Learning to make interesting videos is a new skill for me. I hope I get better over time. Meanwhile, I’ll just keep plugging away because I’m an old dog who thinks he can learn new tricks.
