The End

In the beginning there soon came the middle and after that the end and this is the end of our trip. We came to hear music and we heard it. We came to make music and we made it. We came to see our friends and we saw them. We walked. We talked. We looked at the stars. We felt the rain, and the heat and the wind. And it was all good.

Now we are heading to our respective homes where, like little creeks, each of us will once again continue our meander through the world. We will see our families. We will see ourselves. We will look to the future, remember the past, and handle our daily tasks. We will deal with the daily crush of life. It might be bitter, it might be sweet, but we’ll take it.

As for me, I am going to see grandkids, help them start school. I’ll get a new crown. No one has made me king. It’s a tooth thing. I’ll also get the stitches out of my surgically mended ear. I may work on my fence, and feed my birds. For sure I’ll play that old guitar and make a little music. And at some point, I’ll take a walk and see what’s changed in my hometown. And that’s all little creek stuff for sure.
